Online Writing Lab (OWL) -This website, created by Purdue University, is divided into four major sections, listed below. It gives many useful descriptions of citation styles, guidelines on writing research papers and much more. University of Wisconsin-Madison -This website provides clear descriptions of styles for your research papers, a great list of transition words and phrases to help with precise word choice and a section for concise sentences. -This website has careful explanations of how to document sources, guidelines for using sources effectively and ideas on transitions and concise writing. St. Cloud State Literacy Education Online (LEO) -This website has a catalogue that features information on general writing rules, in addition to explanations on multiple types of writing.

Within its no-nonsense format is a wealth of information, from web links to articles. -St. Thomas's libraries have created a vast array of research information. Visit their website or visit the library to find out more. -This website assists researchers with finding articles. It is a global company that provides articles from over 28,000 publications. -This website is a compilation of journals by academic resources across the country. Its search function is extensive, and most articles can be accessed. University of Minnesota Student Writing Center -This website contains a vast array of web links in nearly every academic subject and style available. Voice of the Shuttle (VoS) -This is a humanities research website. Its content covers everything from Media Studies to Politics. VoS was voted best research website by Forbes.com, which said it was for "casual surfers and die-hard researchers alike.

Texas A&M Writing Center: Business Writing -This website has information on all types of business writing and a number of links. -With this website, you can search over 30 million abstracts for science-related data. ScienceDirect is constantly adding new data. -This website gives access into government documents, official reports and a number of other social science documents. It is British, and therefore its focus is more continental. -Here you will find academic law reviews and journals. With a powerful search engine, FindLaw will help you quickly discover valuable resources. -This website has very specific information about writing about art. It is especially useful for Art History students. Virtual Medieval Church and Its Writings -This website is maintained by St. Thomas, and it has information on writing about philosophers, such as Aquinas, in the Medieval Church.
